It only took me 7 months...but I'm updating!

So as most everyone knows already Jordan and I are expecting. We are 12 weeks! I thought I'd be breathing a sigh of relief since the beginning was a little shaky with spotting and bleeding... but I haven't yet. I'm not sure when I will be able to? A good friend of mine at work is 24 weeks and she went into labor today. She was dilated to a ten when they admitted her to Timp. She hasn't delivered yet (thank goodness) and the doctor is giving her steroids to speed the growth of baby Benjamen's lungs. So please keep her in your prayers!!!
It makes me feel terrible to complain about all of the things I'm dealing with when I still have a healthy baby.

Some updates with Jordan:
He is staying busy with work and cabinets and is finishing up another semester of school (I can't wait for winter break, I miss my stink bug).

Some updates with me:
I still have yet to officially withdraw from my classes for this semester :( I stopped going when I was about 6 weeks because I was so sick. Let's cross our fingers UVU will have some mercy (not likely, so I won't hold my breath).

Some updates with Baby:
I went in for an appointment last week and I got to hear the babies heartbeat! 170bpm. Also, I finally got to talk to my doc about my health. I haven't been able to exercise and I feel like I'm gaining a lot of weight. My other concern was that I am showing. Most of the women that I know don't start showing until the 2nd trimester.
The doc reassured me that 5lbs is normal and she'd expect me to be showing with how short and slender I am. So I'm not turning into a ball after all...Jordan put that basketball hoop away.

Some updates with Aree:
Well for starters reading past blog entries... hallelujah for that being over!!!
She is almost a big girl -she still whimpers for us to come get her at night sometimes.
She also listen to me when I call her Aree and mama (Don't ask why...I can't explain how that became a nickname).

Anyways...I will try to update more since I won't have school at night anymore!!!

Aree the Beast Three Weeks Later

Yes the beast...let me explain. The first 2 days we kept her in the house, bad idea! We got no sleep. Between barking, crying or scratching her fabric kennel I  woke up to walk her at least 4 times. I seriously felt like we had a baby. By the third day we knew we had to by her an outdoor kennel, which she now calls home (thank you IFA). We are also teaching Aree to be house trained. So hard. Next animal has to be house broken-PERIOD.
After a lot of accidents we borrowed a friends carpet cleaner and shampooed the carpets. Just five minutes after letting her in she goes the bathroom. Shoot me, Shoot me now!
Two other things blog worthy... I let Aree in the house and she was eating something. She wouldn’t give it to me so i put my hand in her mouth and pulled it out-sure enough it was a cat turd. It was and i fighting a piece of poo out of the dogs mouth. :(((
Then just last weekend I was gardening with Aree and she was barking up a storm. Finally I called her to me and she had a big bird in her mouth. Grosssss!
At this point I'm thinking a baby would have been easier (In some ways :) ).

Catching Up

A lot has happened since the last time I blogged!
-Mid February  I bought Jordan a Honda CRF 450 dirt bike for his birthday (his bday is March 6th, I could not wait until then).
-The first of March I started a new job at CUC in the cardiology department...love it! Well the only down-side is the free food we get everyday. Wingers, Olive Garden, etc. Everything thats good and bad!
-Fast forward to May...For Mother's Day I wanted a piggy. Yes a teacup pig. They live in the house and use the litter box. I could get Jordan on board so we went to look at one. Luckily the lady selling them lived close (South Santaquin) so we made a quick drive up to met twinkie (this is the name I gave her before I met her). So we get there and Twinkie is in a kids play yard looking soooo freaking cute. She was itty bitty, when i picked her up she fit in my hand. I fell in love with her and unfell in love with her in 5 minutes. When I fed her she went number 2, just like that... in-and-out in one sitting. The owner said all pigs do that. Turn off :(
Jordan and I discussed it and we decided no. Jordan made a good point for 2K the pig better be crapping gold (excuse my french). Afterwords I felt disappointed so Jordan and I looked online and we found a female blue healer pup for sale in Syracuse. We made the long trek and finally got to meet "Roxy" (we changed her name to Aree). After picking her up we went to Pet Smart and spoiled her :)

Updates

I'm sorry I never get on and post...I'm terrible. I will try from here on out to take more pictures and to update more frequently!

SUNDAY 2/6 Superbowl 45...Packers VS Steelers
Well our Colts did not make it this year, so we were rooting for the Packers. Go Pack Go!
Being the host I think I watched 30% of the game (trust me I wasnt crying about it), but still enjoyed the party!

Good news we have two exciting events planned for this year:
1) My sisters and their families are coming out to visit for a week in July
2) We are going to for sure start trying for baby in fall

I'm so excited! I love having events to plan and look forward to.

Christmas

This year I feel overly blessed. I feel so grateful for so many things: -knowledge of the church and our savior, -for a great relationship with Jordan, - for good family and friends, and for lots of food and presents. I know I don't mean to be temporal, but I really do appreciate people spending their hard earned money and time to buy presents and cook. As a child we had few presents and a when we could afford it, a small Christmas dinner. My dear sweet husband spoils me. I got some cute new nikes, perfume, baby clothes, a baby blanket(I called it!), Hocus Pocus, and 2 sweaters (one was a Colt's hoodie...I opened it and Jordan said "I know you're not a fan, but I am." lol, I will wear anything you want me to deary! Jordan got 3 new shirts (one a colt's one...we're on the same page I guess ), socks, a new wallet, body wash, a new tie, a book, 2 games, and Where the Red Fern Grows. I'm sure there is more Jordan and I can't remember- I couldn't even remember what I bought Jordan for Christmas. This is the problem with me shopping year around. It's fun though, because I get excited to see what he's unwrapping too!

We had a lot of parties to attend this week, but it was full of fun!

Have you ever seen the game show Minute to Win it? It's super funny. Jordan's aunt had us playing it at her house on Christmas eve. I was try to use my face muscles to get the cookie from my forehead to my mouth. If anyone is wondering I was unsuccessful... close though!
Christmas sweaters!!! Jordan made his all by himself!

Christmas day at grandma's :)

Jordan's brother Brodie flew in from New York for Christmas! He played and sang beautiful songs he composed. Jordan and Cody joined him for his rendition of Silent Night.

Snow Day!

Jordan had work off on Tuesday and my manager gave me the day off, so we had a snow day! We had a little over 17" when we got up yesterday morning.  I LOVE the SNOW!!! Jordan was a sweetie, he got up and shoveled and then we built a snowman together. Afterwards, we had some yummy hot chocolate. Then we went up to Salt Lake to visit a friend who was in town from California, we went to DI to get some Christmas sweaters (we're decorating them for an ugly Christmas sweater contest Gina and Kyle are having), had Jordan's cousin and friend over for dinner and watched SALT. We had such a fun day!

Me and Guermo!

  Jordan in our backyard!

This is what we woke up too :)

Hale Theater

Jordan and I went to A Christmas Carol with his brother, sister, her husband and their kids. It was a lot of fun! I'm a ball baby- I was trying not to cry half the play. I loved how close we were to the stage, and how the props came out of the floor!
